A Week in the Fall of Jerusalem
With Ben Witherington
This is the third in a series of "In the Week of..." books about first century Christianity and the world in which it existed, informed by Biblical Archaeology and related research. Ben Witherington, a professor of New Testament at Asbury Seminary, has written two of these books. Professor Witherington uses his knowledge of the biblical world to paint the most accurate picture possible of this major event that overshadows the New Testament and introduces us to several biblical characters, a few decades after the time of the gospels.

With Steven Fine
After talking about the synagogue and menorah image excavated at Magdala with Steven Fine of Yeshiva University, we transitioned to a discussion of another menorah image on the Arch of Titus in Rome. Professor Fine is involved in research that has uncovered vestiges of pigment, indicating the arch was very colorful when it was first constructed. We also include a short discussion of his research on the Samaritans.

Domestication of Camels, part 2
With Titus Kennedy
Following up the previous program's interview with Todd Bolen, with additional information from Titus Kennedy, for my story on camel domestication for Christianity Today. Titus is an adjunct professor at Biola University. He wrote a paper that was published in Bible and Spade magazine in 2010 which covered a lot of evidence of camel domestication in the second and even third millenium BC, much earlier than the deceptive news release from Tel Aviv University would have one believe.

With Prof. Clyde Billington
Lots of additional exciting discoveries reported in the summer issue of ARTIFAX magazine, including a number with connections to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. With prof. Clyde Billington, the discussion covers new information about early 20th century excavations on the Temple Mount, new information about the depiction of the Temple menorah in the Arch of Titus in Rome, as well as a First Temple period seal and bulla that were both found near the Temple Mount in recent months.
