Dana Harris teaches New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, yet she excavated at an Old Testament site this past summer, Khirbet Qeiyafa. Khirbet Qeiyafa overlooks the Elah Valley, where David and Goliath had their confrontation. On this program she explains why she ended up where she did, the importance of connecting archaeology with textual studies, and the similarities between archaeology and textual studies.

The "Jesus Wife" Papyrus

A small piece of papyrus has gotten a lot of attention in the last few weeks because it makes some kind of reference to Jesus’ wife. There are a lot 0f questions about this document and not a lot of answers. Its dating is imprecise but it certainly dates to several hundred years after the time of Christ. We discuss these issues and more with Dana Harris, a professor of New Testament at the Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
